Operation Azteca, Christmas in Chile without green.

It seems that Chile could not deliver its green gifts for the Christmas holidays. And it is that they suppose to deliver and get rid of 3.5 tons of marijuana, for this Christmas.
This amount was seized in the Port of San Antonio by the Chilean police forces at Azteca Operation.

This seizure was not sudden. It was the result of a long work since 2019 between Customs, Navy and the Anti-Narcotics Brigade of the Investigative Police. They call it ‘Operation Azteca’. Where they got shipping information.
Of course, these 3.5 green tons were imported from Mexico, exactly from the Valparaíso region.
So, Chile and Mexico spent a year working together to be able to sell this large quantity.

The director of the PDI, Héctor Espinosa, said that the drug was camouflaged in supposed shipments of ceramics. But the police managed to identify the containers.

Four containers carrying 3,406 packages of marijuana, weighing approximately 3,505 kg, were seized. The value would have been more than 17,525 million Chilean pesos (about 24 million dollars).

Chile was unable to deliver these huge green gifts for people who wanted the luxury of enjoying a quiet Christmas at home.
