BUSTED: East London Cannabis Farm

An estimated £800,000-£1million worth of cannabis was seized this week after a warehouse in Charlton was raided by police.

Officers from the South East Basic Command Unit’s Violence Suppression team discovered the cannabis farm.

Hiding in a 32,000 square feet commercial premises in East London on Wednesday morning (December 30).

They obtained a warrant to gain entry and search the site after receiving intelligence about a cannabis factory being operated there.

A police helicopter was also called in to provide further reconnaissance during the operation.

The helicopter discovered large heat signatures coming from the roof of the building.

upon entering a large number of plants were seized and destroyed.

It was stated by the met police that most of the plants were at full size and maturity and ready to be harvested.

Upon closer inspection and from the photos taken as evidence.

it is very clear almost none of the plants were ready to be harvested.

in fact, 90% were still in the vegetative stage, which goes to show how big the gap of knowledge is with the police and the drugs they are trained to control.

5 men were arrested and remain in custody.
