Lil Tjay was finally arrested in Brooklyn, Lil was stopped in a Cadillac he was riding in. The 19-year-old rapper was eventually arrested for criminal possession of weapons, possession of marijuana and grand theft, according to TMZ.
Unfortunately Lil Tjay could not avoid being arrested this time. Apparently, and coincidentally, 4 days before the NYPD searched him and found nothing.
But this time the police detained him again, and now he faces serious charges.
The Bronx rapper was pulled over for changing lanes without signaling. And for that very reason the NYPD officers who searched the car after they smelled marijuana inside the vehicle.
A few days ago, Lil Tjay was searched by the NYPD and the incident was caught on Instagram Live. During a music video shoot last Saturday (Dec. 26), the 19-year-old rhymer and his friend were patted down by an officer, who later searched the vehicle that they were sitting in. During the incident, Tjay questioned why he was being searched and told officers that their actions were illegal.
A NYPD spokesperson told Pitchfork that officers had “responded to a 911 call from a disorderly group by recording a music video, displaying firearms in a courtyard.”
