GENETICS OF THE WEEK: AMNESIA

Cannadaily continues with its series Genetics of the week and today we will talk to you about Amnesia. This strain first appeared in the 1990s. Today it is one of the most famous and popular cannabis strains due to its unique characteristics and intense effects.

Amnesia has very high THC levels (up to 25%) which gives the plant an intense aroma and a powerful high!

What is Amnesia?

The creator of Amnesia is the Dutch seed bank called Super Strains. Established in 1996, Amnesia remains one of the favorite strains among cannabis smokers in search for strong psychoactive effects.

It is a Sativa-dominant plant, going up to 90% sativa and around 10% indica. Her strong Sativa side gives its users a cerebral and psychological high. There are also excellent varieties of Amnesia CBD cannabis flowers that will give a much more physical stoning, with an overall feeling of relaxation.

Amnesia gives you an immediate high effect from the first inhalations. It is a plant that invites the body to move, not to lay down on the sofa. Despite its high effects, Amnesia allows you to be aware and remain quite clear-headed.

The plant is recommended to combat fatigue and mild stress however it will have no effect on anxiety unlike CBD. This strain makes us vigilant and is known to improve concentration. It is suitable for regular cannabis smokers but can still make you slightly paranoid depending on the mood of the day. In fact, this strain tends to amplify our mood rather than alter it.

Some examples of Amnesia varieties:

Amnesia Haze

This strain is considered to be the best quality of Amnesia on the market. It causes a feeling of very intense energy and euphoria. However, it is not suitable for novice smokers due to its powerful effects.

Amnesia Lemon

This plant is a subtle blend of Amnesia Haze and Lemon Skunk which both are big names in the cannabis industry. It also received the prize for the best sativa plant in 2004 and then in 2007. This plant provides very strong cerebral effects, varying from boosts of motivation and concentration. Again, this strain is not recommended for novice smokers who may not be able to cope with the intense high effects of Amnesia Lemon.
