Genetics Of The Week: Purple Punch

Cannadaily continues with its series “Genetics of the week” and introduces you to the strain Purple Punch.

What are the origins of the strain Purple Punch?

The strain Purple Punch was created by the Supernova Gardens seed bank. This variety comes from a sweet and sedating union of two Indica-dominant classics: a Larry OG and an Original Grand Daddy Purple. In 2013, Supernova Gardens shared their clone with several people on their trip to Southern California, including a grower named Budologist.

With the consent of Supernova Gardens, Budologist shared a cut of the Purple Punch with a breeder named The Village. The Village was not yet fully aware of the potential of the seed that had come into his hands.

In a short time, the strain began to spread until it reached the famous and well-known world-famous marijuana growers: The Jungle Boys.

In 2017, Budologist and The Village launched a new batch of Purple Punch seeds with the corresponding consent of its creators and in collaboration with the Symbiotic Genetics seed bank. The Purple Punch “Alpha Cut” x (Purple Punch F2) was shortly born. Their batch got named variety of the year.

Taste and Scent

Purple Punch smells like grape candy, blueberry muffins, and tart Kool-Aid. Its taste is doughier and skunkier than the smell. It has a sweet sugary artificial grape flavor with some hints of berries.

Effects

The potency of this strain gives the consumer a one-two punch to the head and body. Purple Punch provides a nice, easy descent into heavy relaxation and sleepy bliss.

Properties

The strain Purple Punch may help with managing nausea, stress, minor body aches, and insomnia.
