Joe Biden drugs

War on drugs – Guess who was the tip of the spear

Joe Biden’s role as the chief architect of some of the U.S. toughest anti-drug laws should have been a major liability for his 2020 campaign, being that some 20 million Americans use drugs on a daily basis, and we all know that figure is somewhat conservative much like Biden’s view on drug policy and legality.

He didn’t just ride the War On Drugs train, he drove the damn thing.

And with recent events with the pause of cannabis legislation and regulation by the FDA, it looks like our worst fears are coming true for the US market.

Joe Biden has gone on-record saying that he wants to re-classify marijuana from Schedule 1 (most illegal) to schedule 2 (slightly less illegal).

Basically putting cannabis on the same level as cocaine and other very harmful drugs, in his words Until we have enough research as to what the long-term effects are of using cannabis.

Like we haven’t been smoking it and using it as medicine for millennia.

Trump has been heard to say a number of times; he is the worst presidential candidate in history.

If these laws pass and he changes the 55 billion dollar industry that will affect the whole world, not just the minority communities in the US which Biden has repeatedly claimed he is fully supportive of.

It is true of every legal market in the world, there is an equal black market, which would thrive and see a boom if this legal turnaround happens.

11.4 million premature deaths each year

11.8 million deaths are attributed to substance use each year – we look at this breakdown between direct deaths (from drug overdoses) and indirect deaths from increased risk of various diseases and injury here.

What we see from this breakdown is that the majority of these deaths are indirect: they result from more than smoking increasing the risk of lung and various other cancers, heart disease, stroke, and diabetes; and alcohol and illicit drugs increase the risk of suicide, hepatitis and liver diseases.

These numbers include a huge amount of cigarette smoking and alcohol consumption, but Biden is not changing the schedule of these items, which are unregulated and sold freely almost everywhere, which also cost the USA 170 Million to deal with.

So which is really the question, the health of the Americans or the economy?
