There are some major changes that are happening in 2020.
Lets face it, it’s been one tough year, but there have been some developments in recent months which could see a surge in law change at a federal level in the United states.
Also in the EU changing its stance on cannabis as a medicine is going to further feed the fire of change, in favor of the cannabis industry.
We have already seen countries like Pakistan and Thailand, who have traditionally been zero tolerance states when it comes to drugs. Have complete turn arounds, and have changed the law to help the country progress its study, and production of this plant as a medicinal remedy.
If law changes in one state in America, that does not mean it changes for every state, nor does it mean it changes anything at a federal level, in short the feds have the final say, whether something is legal or illegal, regardless of state law.
BIDEN , USA AND CANNABIS
For example cannabis is currently criminalised at the federal level, and there was a period of time where federal agents were raiding fully licensed dispensaries all across America, the feds would confiscate everything rendering the business inoperable.
They did this with impunity as federal law rules the roost in the US. If Biden makes a reform of the federal law when it comes to cannabis, this could spark huge investment across the pond where the EU and USA could begin the legal sale. And also, the distribution of these types of products.
The industry has already seen unprecedented growth this year despite the situation the world has faced, and with these potential changes about to happen we could see a gold rush of trade and opportunity in the sector.
It would be great to see this happen, to put it lightly, after a year of disappointment, looking at the silver lining however thin it is.
We have seen nature make a comeback in many parts of the globe. And also seen law reform in countries who previously had draconian penalties. We have seen the industry boom, and people open their mind to the medical benefits, not just for them but for their pets too.
With huge growth in a year that should have seen declines, its safe to say whether they pass these laws or not, the industry is growing faster than politicians that can spin lies.
