French cannabis survey

The French national cannabis survey

Great move, France wants to know what citizens think about cannabis, as it should always be with every single issue.

In order to know the opinion of the French people, its government will launch a national survey. It will be done online, a good way to guarantee easy and high participation. Once the results have been obtained, the next step will be a parliamentary debate.

French cannabis survey

It is important to point out that the survey is focused above all on recreational cannabis. We understand that some questions will have a more general whole and also that, luckily, the medical use of cannabis is beginning to be accepted. Therefore the survey that the government planned will focus on the use in terms of “leisure”. Which we do not quite understand as a concept since cannabis is always medicinal, how it is to eat fruit.

The survey itself will be made up of five or six questions. Will be published in the National Assembly website and can be done for four or five weeks.

The ideologist of the project, Robin Reda told AFP that a report with the results will be published. It will be available between the end of March, the beginning of April. Reda stated “The goal is to inform the debate as much as possible. The success of the survey will depend on the participation of as many people as possible. “

The parliamentary group behind the project will also give conclusions on the studies they have conducted on the use of medical marijuana (including products such as cannabidiol and CBD) in mid-February. In 2019, the Assemblée nationale also authorized an experiment to administer medical marijuana, in non-smokable forms, to at least 3,000 patients with serious illnesses. Trials were supposed to start in March 2020, but the health crisis has delayed it.

France had previously tried to ban such products, but in November 2020 it was found to be violating EU laws for doing so.

In conclusion, it seems that there is a great cannabis movement trying to make its way into France. We send them all our energy from cannadaily and the cannabis community and luck to overcome the impediments of the system
