The government of GOA looks to be introducing a bill to permit medical cannabis to be grown in the state.
The proposal has already passed the vetting procedure by the law department and moved by the health department.
Recently, India voted in favor of the United Nations Commission on Narcotic Drugs to reclassify cannabis and drop it from the ‘most strict’ drug control list.
After a recommendation by the World Health Organization to be dropped from the list of dangerous narcotics and a change in the scope of control of cannabis and cannabis-related substances.
As always it is a waiting game to see if the government ministers will pass the bill.
Being GOA is famed for its hash and readily available weed to be smoked along its beautiful Baga beaches lined with hippies and surfers it won’t come as a shock if they do pass the law for it to be grown for medical purposes.
