SPAIN: Christmas was without hash

In Spain there was triple busted on Christmas Day. Three different cases between the Netherlands, Galicia,Cadiz, Malaga and the African Coast. None of them could deliver or receive their gifts. More than 20 tons of hashish have been seized by the Civil Guard, the Judicial Police and Customs between December 24 and January 2.

FAIL 1: Morocco – Malaga

The first operation was in Malaga, in the town of Nerja, on Christmas Day. The Civil Guard agents finally arrested eight people and obtained 1,535 kilos of hashish.
It appears that the merchandise arrived from Morocco in a boat. It was detected on the high seas thanks to the cameras of the Integrated External Surveillance System.

FAIL 2: Holland – Gran Canarias

The second shipment of hashish was detected in Galicia by the customs authorities. A ship from Holland with an unknown destination was suspected by the authorities since the ship was from the 1960s. Furthermore, it had never been used for trade before.
They decided to investigate him and follow him to the coast of Las Palmas de Gran Canarias, where she was finally approached. Inside it, 18 tons of hashish were found, where they were to be unloaded somewhere on the west coast of Africa. There were five crew members who were arrested.

FAIL 3: Cádiz

The third busted was found in Cádiz. Exactly in the Sanlúcar de Barrameda area, in this case the seized hashish was not being transported like the previous two. This was hidden underground, awaiting future transport, with a total of almost four tons. The Civil Guard arrested 19 people and found 36,000 euros, 13 vehicles and two firearms seized.

This year many did not receive the nougat for Christmas. And in summary there were more than 20,000 tons seized and more than 24 arrested without being able to spend their Christmas at home.
