A large crop of approximately 61,000 plants was declared illegal just twenty-four hours ago near Barcelona. The warehouse was perfectly equipped with corresponding insulation and soundproofing ventilation systems.
The infrastructure not only carried out cultivation work, but also cloning for the supply of future cannabis crops. Which indicates that the work system was well organized by the owners and it was not a “clandestine” crop.
THE TIP
Apparently the investigation carried out by the police arises from a citizen “contribution”. Through the portal of the national police, information, truthful or not, can be provided directly to the police force. We do not know what type of filter is used in this information, but the National Police assesses them and proceeds to the corresponding investigation.
All the workers in the industrial building were arrested. Including the owners, we assume they were on site, working at the time.
LIGHT OR CANNABIS?
After the arrests of the workers, the police claim the imputation of various crimes: belonging to a criminal organization, crime against public health and fraud in electricity.
The latter is due to the fact that according to the police the electrical installation was installed illegally or simply put: the light was tapped.
Perhaps this is the real problem, the lack of resources and business security. If the cultivation of cannabis were something supported by the government, which would be very beneficial economically for the country (as in California), these bad practices on the part of the producers would not occur. Also perhaps there is a bigger struggle of interests behind all this. Since, for example, the large electricity companies have economic potential to spare, we would even say that they “take advantage” a little with their prices. Therefore they could create agreements with cannabis farmers so that everyone wins.
What is clear is that there is still a long way to go in the fight to stop society from seeing cannabis as a problem.
