GateWay Community College, part of the Maricopa Community College system it’s the one that has launched the degree.
CANNABIS EDUCATION
You can learn the history of cannabis, but also need to learn how to take care of the plant, their needs. Which, it is something more about chemistry and biology. “The Cannabis Business Training Center will ensure that the cannabis and CBD industry minimizes its risks and helps produce informed employees for businesses,” said Jeanne Ratliff, GateWay manager of workforce development, in a press release Thursday. The degree is called Cannabis Business Training, is though online.
And the program debuts with three non-credit courses offered online: Budtender Training, CBD Hemp Education Product Training, and Cannabis 101.
Classes, which are not part of GateWay’s established study programs, range from six to nine hours and cost between $ 85 and $ 99.
The school also says it plans to add courses and offer personalized training for specific cannabis businesses.
