Well, it’s already December 31st. The day we all remember what we have experienced during the year. The good and bad experiences and what we have been able to achieve from our list of goals for 2020. And perhaps, many of us have not achieved much. But the world and the legalization of cannabis has made an incredible change this year.
Perhaps the pandemic and its high number of people with anxiety, recreation at home and the global economic downturn has made many countries change their point of view with cannabis and other drugs.
BEST WEED NEWS OF 2020
We start with America, as we have great changes in this area of the globe.
In the United States, it is now legal to smoke recreational marijuana in 15 states, and in 38 it can be smoked for medicinal purposes. In November the elections marked a before and after, and if we take a look 10 years ago, there was no state that legalized the recreational use of marijuana.
Now Arizona, Montana, New Jersey, Mississippi and South Dakota are the first to live with this new cannabis law. In fact, Oregon is the state that has decriminalized all drugs for personal use, such as cocaine and heroin. It seems that people who are caught with a small amount will receive a ticket instead of being punished in prison.
If we go down a bit towards the South, we will remember that Mexico is getting on with the legalization of Marijuana. Unfortunately, they need more time to deliver the big news and we will leave this big boom for 2021.
In South America we saw great changes in medicinal legalization in Argentina. We have seen that Argentina is a revolutionary country where they have achieved great changes and are characterized by their open mentality and a fighting soul. There are high expectations for it to have a full legalization, just as its neighboring country Uruguay was able to achieve it years ago.
EUROPE
We are going to Europe. Where, for example, Ireland can already sell therapeutic cannabis via pharmacies to patients who need it without having to fly to the Netherlands.
Big news for this part of the world was when the EU recognized cannabis with medicinal properties. It could be removed from Schedule IV of 1961. Where marijuana was among the most dangerous drugs, along with cocaine and heroin.
Although it does not count as a European country, Lebanon is touching the Mediterranean Sea.

In the Asian area they have been able to pleasantly surprise us, since the public mentality towards drugs and cannabis is somewhat traditional, compared, for example to the American area.
