LA VIE EN PRISON \u00c0 CAUSE DU CANNABIS<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
Richard DeLisi est, aujourd'hui, le prisonnier qui a eu la condamnation la plus longue de l'histoire des \u00c9tats-Unis pour un crime non-violent li\u00e9 au cannabis.\nRichard est en prison depuis 1988, en purgeant une peine de 32 ans sur une sentence de 90 ans. Pendant son s\u00e9jour en prison, son fils, son \u00e9pouse et ses deux parents sont d\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9s. Il sera lib\u00e9r\u00e9 pour passer No\u00ebl en compagnie de ses autres fils et de ses petits-fils. Ce sera la premi\u00e8re fois depuis 30 ans qu\u2019il pourra passer No\u00ebl chez lui.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
RENCONTREZ RICHARD <\/h2>\n\n\n\n
Richard DeLlisi a une r\u00e9putation, depuis sept d\u00e9cennies, de p\u00e8re de famille aimable, aimant et g\u00e9n\u00e9reux. Ceux qui ont eu la chance d'\u00eatre son ami furent toujours consid\u00e9r\u00e9s comme faisant partie de la famille. Pendant ses trois derni\u00e8res d\u00e9cennies en prison, Richard s\u2019est donn\u00e9 la mission de continuer \u00e0 faire de bonnes actions pour les autres. Il a suivi diff\u00e9rents programmes pour am\u00e9liorer sa propre vie et la vie de son entourage. Quand Richard est arriv\u00e9 en prison, il ne savait pas \u00e9crire ou lire, \u00e0 cause d\u2019une dyslexie non diagnostiqu\u00e9e qui l\u2019a poursuivie depuis l\u2019enfance.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

LE CRIME \/ L\u2019OFFENSE<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
Le 19 septembre 1988, Richard DeLisi fut arr\u00eat\u00e9 pour \u201ctrafic de cannabis\u201d et pour \u201cconspiration pour trafic de cannabis\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Un peu plus d'un an plus tard, il eut de grands probl\u00e8mes financiers car le gouvernement lui confisqua son business \u00e0 l'\u00e9poque. Ainsi que ses voitures et son liquide. Ils le laiss\u00e8rent sans rien. Apr\u00e8s il fut abord\u00e9 par son vieil ami contrebandier, J.J., qui lui a offert une solution \u00e0 ses probl\u00e8mes. Un dernier job. J.J. a forc\u00e9 Richard \u00e0 trafiquer 1500 libres (680 kg) de cannabis depuis le Columbia jusqu\u2019\u00e0 la Floride.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Richard ne savait pas grand-chose sur son ami J.J., qui, en r\u00e9alit\u00e9, \u00e9tait un informant de la police, et m\u00eame si toute la situation \u00e9tait \u00e9videmment ill\u00e9gale, c\u2019est ce qu\u2019on appelle \u201centrapment\u201d (pi\u00e8ge), l\u2019action de duper quelqu\u2019un en l\u2019engageant dans un crime pour assurer une proc\u00e9dure p\u00e9nale punitive. Dans le proc\u00e8s judiciaire en 1989, l\u2019avocat de Richard monta sa d\u00e9fense sur l\u2019entrapment. Mais il n\u2019a pas r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 prouver l'innocence de son client. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Alors que les instructions g\u00e9n\u00e9rales des peines en Floride recommandent une peine de prison, entre 12 et 17 ans pour un cas comme celui de Richard, le juge d\u00e9cida d'ordonner 3 sentences cons\u00e9cutives de 30 ann\u00e9es chacune. Un total de 90 ans en prison. \nDurant les 32 ans que Richard a pass\u00e9 en prison, il se consacra \u00e0 son \u00e9ducation, r\u00e9habilitation et auto-am\u00e9lioration. Richard se r\u00e9solut \u00e0 utiliser son temps en prison pour s'enrichir personnellement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
