Le Cabinet malaisien, dirig\u00e9 par le Premier ministre, a accept\u00e9 d'autoriser la culture du cannabis et du kratom \u00e0 des fins m\u00e9dicales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le gouvernement soutient l'usage m\u00e9dical du cannabis et reste contre l'usage r\u00e9cr\u00e9atif. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le vice-ministre des Communications et du Multim\u00e9dia, Zahidi Zainul Abidin, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 que le Cabinet n'avait aucune objection et a charg\u00e9 son minist\u00e8re de discuter avec le ministre de la Sant\u00e9, Khairy Jamaluddin, de la meilleure fa\u00e7on pour le gouvernement d'approuver le processus de culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00abC'est une belle avanc\u00e9et, surtout pour ceux qui travaillent dans le domaine m\u00e9dical. Mais je voudrais r\u00e9it\u00e9rer que toute approbation est \u00e0 des fins m\u00e9dicinales et non \u00e0 des fins r\u00e9cr\u00e9atives\u00bb, a expliqu\u00e9 M. Zahidi \u00e0 Utusan Malaysia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La nouvelle n'est pas surprenante car le cabinet avait d\u00e9j\u00e0 exprim\u00e9 son souhait de l\u00e9galiser le cannabis m\u00e9dical dans un communiqu\u00e9 le 12 avril apr\u00e8s une r\u00e9union du caucus \u00e0 laquelle participait le Premier ministre Ismail Sabri Yaakob. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Plus de 40 pays ont l\u00e9galis\u00e9 la consommation de cannabis \u00e0 des fins m\u00e9dicales. Le caucus estime que la Malaisie dispose d'un espace et d'une \u00e9norme opportunit\u00e9 dans cette industrie \u00e0 des fins m\u00e9dicales et de recherche, ce qui pourrait apporter de nombreux avantages au pays. Le Premier ministre a r\u00e9pondu positivement sur les questions concernant l'industrie et a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 que la question sera discut\u00e9e plus en d\u00e9tail par le Cabinet\", pouvait-on lire dans le communiqu\u00e9. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

M. Zahidi a expliqu\u00e9 qu'il existe une forte demande des clients \u00e9trangers pour le chanvre et le kratom en raison de leurs qualit\u00e9s m\u00e9dicinales. Il a \u00e9galement ajout\u00e9 qu'il \u00e9tait convaincu que le Cabinet approuverait bient\u00f4t l'usage m\u00e9dical du cannabis en Malaisie, car la culture locale se limite pour le moment \u00e0 l'exportation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le gouvernement collaborera avec des acteurs de l'industrie pour faire de la recherche sur le cannabis m\u00e9dical. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Khairy a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 que son minist\u00e8re \u00e9tait pr\u00eat \u00e0 collaborer avec des acteurs de l'industrie ou des universit\u00e9s pour mener des recherches sur l'usage m\u00e9dical du cannabis. Th\u00e9oriquement, l'usage m\u00e9dical du cannabis n'est pas interdit en Malaisie, mais faute de production locale, l'acc\u00e8s au cannabis est difficile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le pr\u00e9sident de l'Association m\u00e9dicale malaisienne, le Dr Koh Kar Chai, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 que toutes les preuves disponibles sur le cannabis m\u00e9dical doivent maintenant \u00eatre examin\u00e9es par des experts locaux, et sa faisabilit\u00e9 doit \u00eatre \u00e9tudi\u00e9e et \u00e9valu\u00e9e avant toute autre d\u00e9cision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
