Des chercheurs am\u00e9ricains ont r\u00e9cemment commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 \u00e9tudier le potentiel du cannabis comme traitement alternatif aux opio\u00efdes pour la gestion de la douleur. Cette recherche s\u2019attaque \u00e0 un v\u00e9ritable probl\u00e8me puisque le gouvernement am\u00e9ricain a vu une augmentation de la d\u00e9pendance des patients aux opio\u00efdes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le CBD serait efficace dans la gestion des douleurs postop\u00e9ratoires.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

L\u2019\u00e9tude a \u00e9t\u00e9 men\u00e9e conjointement \u00e0 New-York et en Floride par des chercheurs de la NYU Langone Health. La recherche s\u2019est port\u00e9e principalement sur l\u2019efficacit\u00e9 et la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 d\u2019un nouveau produit \u00e0 base de CBD dans la gestion des douleurs postop\u00e9ratoires chez les patients ayant subi une op\u00e9ration de l\u2019\u00e9paule.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le produit, nomm\u00e9 ORAVEXX, prend la forme d\u2019une tablette buccale contenant du CBD. La tablette a \u00e9t\u00e9 test\u00e9 lors d\u2019un essai clinique avec 99 participants, \u00e2g\u00e9s de 18 \u00e0 75 ans. L\u2019ensemble des patients venaient d\u2019\u00eatre op\u00e9r\u00e9 de l\u2019\u00e9paule. La moiti\u00e9 du groupe a \u00e9t\u00e9 trait\u00e9e avec le CBD tandis que l\u2019autre moiti\u00e9 a re\u00e7u un placebo. La douleur a \u00e9t\u00e9 mesur\u00e9e gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 un outil standardis\u00e9 appel\u00e9 \u00e9chelle visuelle analogique (EVA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

23% des patients ayant re\u00e7u le traitement au CBD ont vu leur douleur diminuer.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Les r\u00e9sultats de la recherche ont \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9sent\u00e9s lors de la r\u00e9union annuelle de l\u2019American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons \u00e0 Chicago. Ils ont montr\u00e9 que les patients ayant re\u00e7u le traitement avec le CBD ont ressenti 23% de douleur en moins que ceux ayant pris le placebo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Entre 22% et 25% des patients ayant re\u00e7u le traitement avec le CBD ont ressenti une meilleure gestion de la douleur que ceux du groupe ayant pris le placebo. La moiti\u00e9 des patients du groupe ayant re\u00e7u du CBD ont consomm\u00e9 50 mg tandis que l\u2019autre moiti\u00e9 a consomm\u00e9 25 mg. La moiti\u00e9 ayant re\u00e7u 50 mg de CBD s\u2019est d\u00e9clar\u00e9e \u00abplus satisfaite du contr\u00f4le de la douleur\u00bb que la moiti\u00e9 ayant re\u00e7u 25 mg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00ab Il existe un besoin urgent d\u2019alternatives viables pour la gestion de la douleur, et notre \u00e9tude pr\u00e9sente cette forme de CBD comme un outil prometteur apr\u00e8s une r\u00e9paration arthroscopique de la coiffe des rotateurs. Il pourrait s\u2019agir d\u2019une nouvelle approche peu co\u00fbteuse pour soulager la douleur, sans les effets secondaires des anti-inflammatoires comme les AINS et les risques de d\u00e9pendance li\u00e9s aux opiac\u00e9s.
