La Subcomisi\u00f3n de Cannabis Medicinal del Congreso Espa\u00f1ol se reunir\u00e1 por la primera vez el pr\u00f3ximo 16 de febrero para debatir sobre la regulaci\u00f3n del cannabis medicinal. Se espera que el subcomit\u00e9 informe al Congreso de sus conclusiones antes del verano.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Una subcomisi\u00f3n con una finalidad: regular el cannabis medicinal en Espa\u00f1a.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

El Octubre pasado, el Congreso espa\u00f1ol constituy\u00f3 la subcomisi\u00f3n por parte de la Comisi\u00f3n de la Salud y del Consumo para abordar una posible regulaci\u00f3n del cannabis medicinal. Por la primera vez, la subcomisi\u00f3n se reunir\u00e1 el pr\u00f3ximo mi\u00e9rcoles 16 de febrero para determinar un marco regulatorio del cannabis medicinal en Espa\u00f1a. Tras la propuesta del PNV de crear una subcomisi\u00f3n espec\u00edfica para planificar la legalizaci\u00f3n del cannabis medicinal, la C\u00e1mara Baja abri\u00f3 el debate.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tal y como inform\u00f3 este jueves el Observatorio Espa\u00f1ol del Cannabis Medicinal (OECM), la subcomisi\u00f3n constituye \"un primer paso en el camino hacia la legalizaci\u00f3n, proceso que se inici\u00f3 el pasado mes de junio\". El subcomit\u00e9 debe preparar un informe y enviarlo al gobierno en los pr\u00f3ximos meses. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Se espera que el debate se termina el 30 de junio, aunque la OECM ha optado por contener su optimismo y ser cauto en comunicar fechas concretas. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cCreemos que es urgente que en esta legislatura podamos tener un programa de regulaci\u00f3n del cannabis medicinal basado en la evidencia ya existente\u201d, insisti\u00f3 el vicepresidente de la OECM, Manuel Guzm\u00e1n, durante un desayuno informativo con los medios de comunicaci\u00f3n el jueves pasado. Ciertamente, no hay escasez de evidencia cient\u00edfica que respalde los beneficios de legalizar el cannabis medicinal. La OECM calific\u00f3 el debate de \"absurdo en esta \u00e9poca\" ya que m\u00e1s de cuarenta pa\u00edses en el mundo ya han regulado el cannabis medicinal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEstamos hablando de pacientes con enfermedades graves y muy debilitantes que merecen un tratamiento humano, pacientes con c\u00e1ncer, enfermedades neurol\u00f3gicas, dolor, fibromialgia o insomnio cr\u00f3nico\u201d, agreg\u00f3 Manuel Guzm\u00e1n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La OECM aconsej\u00f3 al subcomit\u00e9 centrar el debate sobre los pacientes, entre otras cosas, qui\u00e9n tendr\u00e1 acceso al cannabis medicinal y c\u00f3mo el gobierno les proporcionar\u00e1 los productos en lugar de debatir sobre los beneficios de la legalizaci\u00f3n. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Espa\u00f1a podr\u00eda seguir el ejemplo de Canad\u00e1 e Israel, que han optado por modelos mixtos en los que el gobierno trabaja con empresas privadas mientras proporciona cobertura social a los pacientes. Este modelo permitir\u00eda a los pacientes el libre acceso al cannabis medicinal y, por lo tanto, garantizar\u00eda que el cannabis siga siendo accesible para todos. <\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
