Un descubrimiento reciente en la tumba de un soldado de la dinast\u00eda Tang confirma que China utiliz\u00f3 la planta de cannabis con fines medicinales y nutricionales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El cannabis era una de las bases de la dieta de la poblaci\u00f3n.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Se encontraron rastros de cannabis durante el descubrimiento accidental de la tumba de un soldado de la dinast\u00eda Tang (618-907) en el centro de China. El estudio arqueol\u00f3gico confirma que la planta de cannabis era una de las bases de la dieta de la poblaci\u00f3n durante esta \u00e9poca.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Este descubrimiento, publicado el pasado mi\u00e9rcoles por el South China Morning Post, muestra que la poblaci\u00f3n utilizaba el cannabis como estimulante, textil, y con fines medicinales y nutricionales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La tumba, perteneci\u00f3 al capit\u00e1n de caballer\u00eda Guo Xing y fue descubierta en 2019 durante unas obras de construcci\u00f3n en el patio de una escuela primaria en Taiyuan (capital de la provincia central de Shanxi). La tumba hab\u00eda estado escondida durante 1320 a\u00f1os y parec\u00eda perfectamente conservada con pinturas, murales, objetos y artefactos intactos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Se encontraron restos de cannabis en uno de los botes que conten\u00edan alimentos b\u00e1sicos con algunas semillas que ten\u00edan casi el doble de su tama\u00f1o habitual. Los investigadores creen que las semillas provienen de una variedad de Cannabis Sativa originaria de Asia central. Las semillas parecen contener una concentraci\u00f3n m\u00e1s baja de tetrahidrocannabinol (THC) que la que se puede encontrar actualmente en el mercado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seg\u00fan Jin y el resto de los acad\u00e9micos responsables de la investigaci\u00f3n, el cannabis \u201cfue enterrado como alimento para el fest\u00edn y la buena salud\u201d del soldado en el m\u00e1s all\u00e1. Los investigadores piensan que la planta podr\u00eda haber tenido m\u00e1s importancia que el arroz, del cual no hab\u00eda rastro en la tumba. Desde 1980, los arque\u00f3logos chinos han identificado rastros de cannabis en tumbas en todo el pa\u00eds. Algunas semillas ten\u00edan 6.600 a\u00f1os. Los investigadores creen que la planta de cannabis se usaba durante rituales para provocar alucinaciones durante las celebraciones religiosas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
