Un nuevo estudio publicado, har\u00e1 poco m\u00e1s de un mes en el Reino Unido, vuelve a confirmar la gran eficacia del CBD y el THC como tratamientos de una enfermedad que afecta a m\u00e1s de 50 millones de personas en todo el mundo, y que en sus casos graves, resulta de dif\u00edcil tratamiento, siendo casi imposible eliminar por completo las crisis epil\u00e9pticas o convulsivas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Los resultados del estudio publicados por la revista Drug Science<\/a> el 9 de diciembre del pasado a\u00f1o son sorprendentes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Administraron una combinaci\u00f3n de productos a base de CBD y THC a 10 pacientes, de dos a cuarenta y ocho a\u00f1os de edad, diagnosticados con epilepsias severas, y la frecuencia de las convulsiones mensuales se redujo un promedio de un 97%, es decir, las afecciones desaparecieron casi en su totalidad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La medicina convencional es reticente a la aplicaci\u00f3n del THC o tetrahidrocannabinol, uno de los compuestos que se extrae del cannabis, debido a sus propiedades t\u00f3xicas. Contradiciendo a la opini\u00f3n general, el estudio dirigido por Ryyan Zaffar<\/em> ha demostrado que dosis reguladas y personalizadas de THC (variaron de 6,6 mg a 26,5 mg) combinadas con uno de los componentes no t\u00f3xicos del cannabis, el CBD (en dosis m\u00e1s elevadas), puede ser el remedio esperado para millones de personas que padecen grados de epilepsia severos y mortales y para los cuales todav\u00eda hoy no existe una cura definitiva.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La calidad del cannabis<\/strong> es imprescindible<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Los expertos resaltan la necesidad de llevar un estricto control de calidad sobre los productos y procesos para extraer este tipo de componentes del cannabis, y solicitan m\u00e1s estudios cl\u00ednicos que certifiquen la eficacia de los cannabinoides como antiepil\u00e9pticos adem\u00e1s del desarrollo de legislaci\u00f3n que permita la prescripci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica de estos productos. Los mismos autores del estudio, en un art\u00edculo publicado el 8 de enero de 2020 en la misma revista, denuncian las barreras, sobre todo burocr\u00e1ticas, de los sistemas p\u00fablicos de salud y los gobiernos, que impiden que los ensayos realizados se implementen como pr\u00e1cticas normales y legales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
