CBD can help various pathologies. Now it has been confirmed that people who suffer from Epilepsy and have used CBD as a medicine have had a really positive result.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That is why we can now find a completely new medicine created to treat Epilepsy, made from CBD – totally legal – in pharmacies.
Epidiolex is manufactured in the UK by GW Pharmaceuticals. It aims to stop seizures in patients with severe epilepsy. GW Pharmaceuticals is also responsible for the product called Nabiximols , which is also known as Sativex.  Sativex was the first natural cannabis plant derivative to gain market approval in any country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Epidiolex has already been licensed to treat seizures related to two rare forms of pediatric epilepsy, Lennox-Gastaut syndrome and Dravet syndrome.
The company reported that they had done clinical tests with 27 children and adolescents who had severe epilepsy. It was administered in the form of CBD syrup flavored with strawberry and lime, twice a day for 12 weeks.
As a result, the frequency of seizures was reduced by more than 50%, and they described it as “encouraging”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As of today, Epidiolex is the first and only CBD drug to have FDA approval, what constitutes a step in the right direction for the medical cannabis industry and patients who look to gain access to medicines that have typically been illegal for many years. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
