The man who took a selfie while smoking a joint during the January 6 siege inside US Capitol has been arrested by the FBI.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

As ABC News<\/a> reported, on January 25 the U.S. Department of Justice filed charges against James Bonet, from New York, who allegedly filmed himself smoking weed during the riot against the election of Joe Biden that paralyzed the counting of votes at the headquarters of the Congress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the video shot in the Capitol crypt \u2014posted on his Facebook profile\u2014 and as described in the FBI affidavit, Bonet’s voice allegedly rose above the rest shouting: “Capitol building smoking with all my people” and later reaffirmed that they had taken over the building and they were going to recover it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the document written by the Department of Justice, it is revealed that a co-worker of the Trump supporter was the one who identified him and reported the fact to the FBI, objecting that he was not wearing a mask and therefore was a potential COVID-19 spreader. Furthermore, he added that Bonet often share belligerent political views and invited his colleagues to participate in his actions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fortunately and unfortunately, the assault plan on the headquarters of the two chambers of the United States Congress that left a death on the way \u2014a woman was shot by the forces of order\u2014 and the building blocked for several hours, was left in smoke. Apparently, with a strange smell… So it seems that we already have one more member in the American Cannabis Hicks Club<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
