Jazz Pharmaceuticals plc<\/a> is a biopharmaceutical company based in Ireland. It was founded in 2003.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Their most popular product is the FDA approved drug Xyrem. The sodium salt of the naturally occurring neurotransmitter \u03b3-Hydroxybutyric acid which is a Sodium oxybate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sold under the brand name Xyrem, among others, is a medication used to treat two symptoms of narcolepsy: sudden muscle weakness and excessive daytime sleepiness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

GW Pharmaceuticals i<\/a>s a British pharmaceutical company known for its multiple sclerosis treatment product nabiximols.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Which was the first natural cannabis plant derivative to gain market approval in any country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They also have established a world-leading position in the development of plant-derived cannabinoid therapeutics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through its proven drug discovery and development processes, intellectual property portfolio, and regulatory and manufacturing expertise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And are also responsible for the UK’s Sativex\u00ae<\/a> an oral spray of a formulated cannabis extract.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Which contains the principal cannabinoids delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD). As well as specific minor cannabinoids and other non-cannabinoid components. used to treat Multiple sclerosis. (MS)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two of the biggest names in cannabis, Tilray Inc. and Aphria Inc., agreed in December to merge in a deal valued at about $3.8 billion dollars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Most Industry experts have predicted that pharmaceutical giants and consumer goods companies might be more interested in making acquisitions in the sector if marijuana becomes legalized nationally in the U.S.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
