Mike Tyson decided to sell cannabis candies in the shape of an ear in memory of his fight against Evander Holyfield, whose ear he bit off in 1997.

Mike Tyson just marketed a cannabis candy in the shape of a red ear reminiscent of a mythical moment in his career: the fight against his former opponent Evander Holyfiel. In 1996, Mike Tyson bowed to this boxer from Alabama while defending the title of world heavyweight champion of the World Boxing Association. In 1997, Mike Tyson faced his opponent again, during which he gave two bites on his ear. A piece of cartilage remained in the ring, and the champion was disqualified and fined $3 million. The fight has gone down in history ever since. Following the conflict, the two boxing legends reconciled, and Evander Holyfield expressed his support when his former opponent opened his cannabis company.

Twenty-five years after this mythical fight, Mike Tyson showed some humor by refreshing the memory of his fans. The candy marketed by the boxer takes the exact shape of Evander Holyfield’s bitten ear posted with a scathing comment by the cannabis brand Tyson 2.0 on Twitter “‘Holy ears! They are finally here!” The joke doesn’t end there since the candies are called “Mike Bites”.

Tyson 2.0 was created in October 2021. The company began offering cannabis pre-rolls and flowers in California through a partnership with Columbia Care, one of the nation’s largest licensed cannabis growers and retailers in 18 US jurisdictions. Since then, the company continued to grow, particularly in Nevada, Massachusetts, and Colorado. There is no doubt that those ear-shaped candies will be a big hit.

Mike Tyson’s brand expands its territory.

Mike Tyson’s cannabis brand, Tyson 2.0, recently announced an expansion into the lucrative Michigan market and some exclusive partnerships with leading companies that will produce innovative cannabis products and accessories.

“Bringing Tyson 2.0 products to Michigan with a partner like Common Citizen upholds our promise to share the many wellness benefits of this powerful plant to those who need it most,” said Mike Tyson, chief brand officer for Tyson 2.0. “Before I found cannabis, I used to be a very different person. This plant has changed me for the better, and I’ve made it my mission to share this gift with fans here in Michigan and across the nation,” said Tyson.

“We’re thrilled to partner with Futurola, Stündenglass, G Pen, CLICK, and El Blunto to bring the newest and most innovative cannabis products and devices to market,” Tyson said in a March 8 statement from the company. “Tyson 2.0’s latest collabs combine our signature and most popular strains with our partners’ premium technology, catering to a broad set of individuals and meeting the cannabis consumption methods they seek,” he added.
